Daily Holes Golf Game
Play a free Daily Holes golf game in 9 Holes. Aim your shot, time the power and get around nine greens in as few strokes as possible. Daily gives everyone the same course for the date; Unlimited generates a new course whenever you want another round. No download, account or time limit.
How to play Daily Holes
- Lock your direction. Watch the dotted guide sweep from side to side. Tap when it points along the line you want. You can aim for an open landing area instead of pointing straight at the flag.
- Time the power. The meter moves back and forth. Tap again to hit: a lower setting makes a softer shot, while a higher setting sends the ball further. Leave room for the ball to roll.
- Finish in the cup. Play onto the green, then make a ground putt. Putts are real shots that you control, rather than strokes added automatically when you reach the green.
Every shot in Daily Holes uses those same two taps. Tap the course or the action button. With a keyboard, use Tab to reach the controls and Space or Enter to play. Escape cancels the power meter so you can choose your direction again.
Daily Holes scoring
Your score is your actual number of strokes, so lower is better. A Daily Holes round has nine holes and a combined par of 35. Par is the target for the course, not a limit on how many shots you may take.
| Result on a hole | Strokes compared with par |
|---|---|
| Eagle | Two under |
| Birdie | One under |
| Par | Matches the target |
| Bogey | One over |
Every swing and putt counts. Water or an out-of-bounds shot adds one penalty stroke and returns the ball to playable ground. The final scorecard shows all nine results, so you can see where you gained or lost strokes.
Fairway, sand, water and running lanes
Landing is only part of a shot. In Daily Holes, fairway grass lets the ball run, while rough and sand slow it down. Pale stone lanes have less resistance and can carry a rolling ball much further. A lake can be flown over, but the ball still needs a dry landing and stopping area.
The flag cloth follows the wind; allow for its direction on airborne shots. Ground putts ignore wind. Near the cup, a pale meter band marks the powers that can sink a putt along your locked direction. A line that misses the cup has no such band.
Daily and Unlimited
Both modes use nine holes and the same controls. Daily Holes changes at local midnight, with a shared course for each date. Your first completed Daily card is kept in this browser, and an unfinished round resumes from its saved ball position.
Unlimited gives you a fresh set of fairways, hazards and wind each round. Choose Play again after finishing, or switch modes at the top of the game. Switching modes keeps both rounds during the same visit; reloading Unlimited starts fresh. Past puzzles lets you replay older daily courses once they open.
Daily Holes tips
- Choose a stopping area. Look beyond the landing spot. A shot that carries a lake can still roll back into trouble.
- Take the wide route when it helps. A safe extra shot can cost less than a penalty followed by a difficult recovery.
- Use less power on hard ground. Running lanes reward a different landing choice, not simply a full swing.
- Keep putts gentle. A fast ball can run past the cup. Set the direction carefully, then use the available capture band.
Daily Holes FAQ
Is Daily Holes free to play?
Yes. You can play the daily course and unlimited rounds for free, with no account or download.
Can I play Daily Holes on my phone?
Yes. The course fits a portrait screen, and the same two taps set direction and power. You can tap the course without needing to hit the action button each time.
Does Daily Holes save my progress?
Daily saves each resolved shot, including penalties, in this browser. You can leave and resume your round. Saves do not sync between devices, and clearing browser data removes them.
Can I share a Daily Holes challenge?
Yes. Share your result after a round. An Unlimited link gives your friend the same course; a Daily link keeps the date. Compare total strokes: the lower score wins.
Is there a time limit?
No. Neither mode has a countdown. You can study a route, wait for the aim to sweep back, and choose when to take your shot.
Can I retry yesterday’s course?
Yes. Open Past puzzles and select an available day. A replay uses that day’s course and leaves your original completed Daily card unchanged.
