Cat Out

Play Cat Out, a free cat escape puzzle. Tap cats in the right order to clear the courtyard, then try a fresh set in Daily or Unlimited.

How to play

  1. Look where each cat is facing. Its nose points in the direction it will move.
  2. Tap a cat with a clear path. Its head leads the way out, with its body following behind.
  3. Make room for the others. A blocked cat bumps gently and returns to its spot. Clear every cat to finish the board.

A run has five boards that continue automatically. Your score is your time: the clock runs while a courtyard is on screen, and every bump adds five seconds. Read first, then tap; a careful run is usually the fast one.

Use a mouse or tap the cats on your phone. With a keyboard, Tab selects a cat and Enter or Space sends it on its way.

Find the next clear path

Start at a cat’s nose and follow its lane to the edge. An empty space directly in front is not enough: another cat farther along the same lane can still block the exit. Look for cats whose departure opens a path for several others.

Straight and curved cats follow the same exit rule: check the direction of the nose. A curved body unwinds along its existing bend. Coats do not give cats different abilities. Removing a cat only ever creates more room, so a wrong guess costs time, never the board.

Daily and Unlimited

Daily gives everyone the same five courtyards, with a new set at local midnight. Progress stays in this browser. Unlimited starts another five-board run whenever you want to play again. Switching modes keeps both runs while this page stays open; reloading Unlimited starts fresh.

Share your result to challenge a friend on the same cats. Daily links identify the date; Unlimited links keep the generated five-board set. Scores are casual browser results, with no account or leaderboard.

Questions

What is Cat Out?

It is a direction-based clearing puzzle with straight and curved cats. Find a clear lane in front of each nose and free every cat across five generated courtyards.

What happens if a cat is blocked?

It moves up to the blocking cat, bumps gently and returns to its starting spot. This adds one bump. You can keep trying; there are no lives to run out of.

How is the score worked out?

It is the total time for the five courtyards, with five seconds added for every bump. The clock pauses when you switch away from the page. Lower is better.

Can I play more than once a day?

Yes. Daily has one shared set for the date, while Unlimited gives you another five-board run whenever you press Play again. Both use the same rules.

Does the game save my progress?

Daily progress is saved in this browser when local storage is available. Switching between Daily and Unlimited keeps both runs while the page stays open. Reloading Unlimited starts fresh.

Is it free on phones and computers?

Yes. Play in a modern browser with touch, a mouse or a keyboard. There is nothing to install and no account is required.
